This is a nice ted++ talk to introduce yourself to the concepts of how our brain perceives numbers, scarcity, and all the deceptions that come with intuitively trusting our perspectives of them.
Even though I absolutely hate watching videos on a white background, this one still got me til the end. I still hated the white background tho. On the nicer side, you can totally put it in the background and just listen, it's explained pretty simply and nicely.
I don't think I fully *scientifically* agree with all of the conclusions & inferences Nic makes, but the video does what it promises - introducing you to the logarithmic brain & the rarity paradox, explaining what they are and roughly why they exist.
And, more importantly, it actually kinda asks you to think, which, imo, is superior to just passively ingesting a video. Maybe a bit dragged for a more advanced viewer, but a very nice introduction for a newcomer.
