You've (Likely) Been Playing The Game Of Life Wrong

Possibly one of the best Veritasium videos I have watched, but even then, this one barely made it on the list.

Why? Because of the title and the video sequence - it promises to teach about the game of life, but around 70-ish % of the video is spent on how things work in nature.

Was it irrelevant? no. Those were, imo, quite informative and interesting. But the question is, could the video accomplish the goal by compressing them far more aggressively or not including them at all? I can kinda see that working out.

In this case tho, I have to give the benefit of the doubt to Veritasium since they do know what they are doing, and this video, in the end, does make the point very nicely, tying all of the topics nicely in the end.

To get a bit more spoilery, they do a great job of making you understand the importance of information - information you didn't even know existed, and even more importantly, the one you knew existed but knew it INCORRECTLY. The counter-intuitiveness of such topics is very interesting, imo, and is very well worth the dive of 45 minutes, or ~42 if you skip the intro, outro and the sponsor segment :D

Nonetheless, despite the opening debate, you will get what you are promised from the video, and you probably will get some more extra. In the end, doesn't matter how well you play the game of life if you are playing the wrong one.
